Winemaking
The cuvée 140 of Château Vaugelas comes from old vines of Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Mourvèdre. After destemming, fermentations are carried out with total temperature control. The vatting lasts between 20 and 24 days with maximum extraction followed by aging in oak barrels for 12 months.
Food & Wine Pairings
By the glass this red wine is an enchantment, of a deep and sustained color, voluminous and sensual with concentrated aromas of red fruits.
Goes beautifully with a lamb navarin, avocado fajitas, mango and coconut pudding, or Sainte Maure goat cheese.
